#NEW# Junior KDB+ Support Engineer - 12 months
We are looking for a dedicated Junior KDB+ Support Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join Ambition for a 12-month project. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support, enhance, and troubleshoot a critical KDB+ system, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the existing KDB+ system in production, including applications running on top of the KDB+ system. Perform recovery and resolution during system outages to ensure minimal downtime.
- Work on system improvements to enhance stability, monitoring, and recovery processes.
- Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises to ensure readiness in case of disruptions.
- Document and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for system recovery.
- Manage and deploy changes to the KDB+ system as required.
- Extract data as needed to support operations.
- Assist data users by troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in KDB+ support or a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system monitoring and improvement.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
