Job Responsibilities
- Perform animal husbandry and complete underwater tasks for assigned animals to the highest standard
- Prepare and deliver daily diets and nutritional requirements to animals under care
- Assist in animal medical procedures and transfer of animals between locations
- Maintain cleanliness of exhibits
- Perform general maintenance of aquariums and exhibits, repair tools and equipment
- Observation and data recording of animal behavior
- Daily siphoning of debris /waste and cleaning of acrylic panels in exhibits
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Science, Aquaculture, Biological or Life Sciences
- Scuba diving certification of Open Water Dive and above preferred.
- Candidates with no scuba diving certification may also apply. Training and certification will be provided.
- Confident to work in an aquatic environment
- Passionate about working with animals
- Passion for environmental sustainability and conservation
- Able to perform shift work, including weekends and public holidays
