The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, fabrication and testing of thin film devices such as thin film transistors
- Setting up and optimisation of thin film printing systems
- Testing of new semiconducting material compositions
- Conceptualize and realize materials compositions for stability and high performance.
- Characterize the materials and devices via physical characterisation techniques.
- Curating and managing experimental data, and assist in preparation of reports, presentations, technological disclosures and manuscripts
- Be in charge of relevant laboratory equipment and maintenance
- Conduct trainings and mentoring of staff, interns and students when required
Job Requirements:
- PhD in material science /chemistry/engineering/or related fields is required.
- Expertise in electrical device fabrication and testing
- Familiarity with material characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy etc would be advantageous.
- Willingness to learn, with adaptability and flexibility to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work cohesively in a team whilst sharing resources
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to details
- Strong interest to learn about new technologies
