Job Description Summary


As a Quantity Surveyor, you must administer contracts, including reviewing contract documents, assessing variations, progress claims and final accounts, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. They may also be required to handle contract documentation and other correspondence. You need to be able to multi-task and work independently while meeting tight timelines.


Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with evaluation of tender, preparation of tender & quotation
  • Experienced in procurement, budgeting, estimation, contract administration, measurement of quantities & variation orders
  • Review and understand all plans and specifications
  • Prepare awards of contracts, bills of quantities and other contract-related documents
  • Built-up rates for costing purposes
  • Drafting tender documents, tender evaluation, and providing recommendations to clients.
  • Verify and certify claims submitted by Contractors and Service providers etc.
  • Preparation of progress claims, variation claims and final accounts for clients/contractors/service providers etc
  • Maintain records, manage and tracking of all variation orders
  • Maintain records and update the project management fee/consultancy fee along with the project team
  • Liaise with internal & external stakeholders for contract-related issues
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Superior from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Preferably someone with a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent
  • A minimum of at least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in the Singapore building construction industry with the developer, and main contractor preferred
  • Experience in tendering work
  • Good knowledge of best practices in procurement and contract administration.
  • Well-versed in and have good knowledge of Standard Conditions of Contract, SIA and PSSCOC contracts.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
