2 Receptionist

This advertisement is for recruiting for 2 positions of Receptionist.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE primary school located in Punggol.

Contract Period: From 01 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

Receptionist 1

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:15pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
  • Fridays: 7:00am to 3:45pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

Receptionist 2

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:15am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
  • Fridays: 8:45am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

The Personnel shall be competent to perform the following:

  • Attend to all incoming phone calls, enquiries and deliveries promptly.
  • Attend to walk-in students, teachers, parents, visitors and school stakeholders with care and empathy.
  • Contact parents of unwell students to be taken home or students who have been absent from school.
  • Provide simple first aid to injured/unwell students and maintain the sick bay including first aid supplies.
  • Man the General Office reception counter and ensure it is clean and tidy.
  • Manage simple office administrative tasks such as receiving and directing incoming mails/packages, making trips to Post Office, managing and distributing notifications and letters to teachers’ trays, filing, collating and printing of documents.
  • Call & engage with parents for administrative matters e.g. GIRO forms, financial aid supporting documents.
  • Perform administrative tasks using basic Microsoft Office e.g. data entry, preparing Word documents & Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the school e.g. P1 registration exercise, emergency exercise etc.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

Qualities of Personnel:

  1. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Able to read, write and converse in English.
  3. Warm personality with good customer service skills and telephone etiquette skills.
  4. Able to work independently.
  5. Good team player with initiative.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  1. Minimum 2 year’s experience in front desk reception duties.
  2. Relevant reception experience in a school setting would be highly advantageous.
  3. Experience with administrative work using basic MS Office (Word, Excel).
  4. GCE “O” level certificate with at least 2 “O” level passes.
