This advertisement is for recruiting for the position of Science Laboratory Attendant.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE primary school located in Bedok South.

Contract Period: From 01 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025

Option to Extend: for a further period of 1 year.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours :

  • Mondays to Fridays: 7:15am to 4:15pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

The Personnel shall be competent to perform the following:

The Personnel shall be able to interact and work with all staff in the school and be attentive to the students and parents.

Scope of work:

  • Prepare materials for daily lessons, department noticeboard displays, regular department programmes such as competitions and external school activities, perform gardening duties related to science curriculum and provide support for ad-hoc science programmes
  • Clean and organise science equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of science labs
  • Manage and organise inventory list
  • Provide logistical support in department and school programmes
  • Support in administrative work, Microsoft applications - excel, word
  • Able to keep calm and work in dynamic environment
  • Assist with planting/greening activities held in eco-garden and it’s routine maintenance.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by HOD/LH-Science and/or Admin Manager

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • He/She must have passed minimally “N” level
  • He/She must be able to communicate in English
  • He/She must have minimally 2 years of prior experience working in a primary school Science laboratory.
  • He/She should be able to report to school by 7.15 am daily.
  • He/She should preferably have worked with plants or involved in planting/greening activities to support teachers carrying out eco garden maintenance.
