Job Description
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the operations of the process units and equipment by measuring, recording and controlling process operating parameters. Diagnose and rectify systems and components’ faults in accordance to established procedures and specifications and to ensure that the process units and equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Specific responsibilities include:
1.1 perform minor maintenance
1.2 performing checks, start-up and shutdown operations on process equipment such as pumps and compressors.
1.3 carry out filter changes
1.4 isolating piping systems for plant start-up, shutdowns, product grade change and troubleshooting operations
1.5 adjusting process parameters to optimize process operations under supervision of Supervisors
1.6 commissioning and decommissioning of process equipment
1.7 performing emergency shutdown of process equipment
1.8 proper handing and blending of non-conforming and off specs products
1.9 preparing plant equipment for maintenance
1.10 preparing chemicals, including mixing and dilution, for process operations
1.11 performing inter-tank transfers of chemicals and products based on established quality procedures.
1.12 performing emergency response activities and drills
Requirements
- Minimum GCE 'O' Level, NITEC, Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or related discipline
- At least 2 to 3 years experience
- Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift work
