The essential responsibilities include:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities, including GL journal entries, and preparation of the relevant financial and management reports
- Conduct financial analysis of the performance of various business initiatives, provide analyses and commentaries on monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Filing of statutory, business statistics and other types of returns as required by local tax and legal legislations
- Liaising with suppliers and external/internal auditors, coordinate with the tax agent on tax compliance, as well as ensure that all accounting activities comply with the group accounting policies and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Assist in projects in driving efficiency through cost initiatives and projects which include process automation and documentation
- Understand business flow and financial procedures
- Assist the finance department in formulating and implementing internal controls
- Other ad-hoc assignments
Formal Education & Certification
- Degree holder in Accountancy or ACCA equivalent; preferably a qualified CA
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of strong experience preferably in retail environment
Prior experience in audit

- High proficient in MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and Navision system
