PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Interpret the customer’s requirements and translate them into proposal and conceptualization for new machine/equipment.

Liaise and follow-up with the customer on project proposal, subsequent project activities and development.

Responsible to monitor & follow-up on the project team comprising of project engineers & technicians, design engineers (both mechanical & electrical) to ensure a smooth work flow in the manufacturing & assembly process.

To lead & mentor project & design reviews with customer’s requirements & feedback on project matters.

Follow-up with vendors in the supply chain on matters related to the project.

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

To perform detail designs and critical drawings on time and upon the approval of the project manager, forward the designs to the respective vendors and suppliers for quotations & fabrication.

To lead meetings and review with the design team and the customers on design requirements and specification.

Being the mentor and to provide guidance to the team of design engineers, assistant design engineers in their job scope ranging from detailed designing, the selection of materials/standard items to the checking of drawings etc.

Draft machine testing protocol (especially for critical function) enabling the manufacturing team to test run the machine.

Ensure that all project documents, drawings and materials (soft & hard copies) are updated and appropriately documented and compiled accordingly.

To lead & team up with cross-disciplinary teams of engineers & specialist focusing smart factory technologies & projects.

To ideate and build robust data and digital technology driven solutions for advanced manufacturing / industrial processes.

To leverage AI and robotics-integration solutions to meet customers’ automation & real-time needs.
