Network Deployment and Configuration
- Deployment and Configuration experience for network infrastructure in upcoming terminals (T2 and T4).
- Expertise in Layer 2, 3, and 4 configuration and switching.
- Deployment of EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol):Overview: EIGRP is used for fast and scalable routing within the airport's large enterprise network.
Configuration: Assign an Autonomous System (AS) number to routers and configure participating networks.
Neighbor Discovery: Establish adjacencies and manage routing information exchange within the AS.
DUAL Algorithm: Ensure fast convergence and backup route calculations, improving network reliability.
- Network Configuration in Terminals:Routers: Setup IP addresses, enable routing protocols, and ensure connectivity across terminal networks.
Switches: Implement VLANs and trunking, ensuring proper segmentation and traffic flow within terminal networks.
- Layer 2, 3, and 4 Configurations:
Layer 2: Configure switches for managing data traffic within a network segment, focusing on MAC address management.VLANs: Logical grouping for segmented network traffic.
STP: Prevent network loops and ensure smooth traffic flow.
Port Security: Limit MAC addresses on ports for added security.
Layer 3: Handle IP-based routing between different network segments, including:Inter-VLAN Routing: Enable communication between VLANs through Layer 3 switches.
Routing Protocols: Configure OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP for inter-network communication.
Layer 4: Control traffic at the transport layer by managing TCP/UDP protocols.Access Control Lists (ACLs): Filter traffic based on Layer 4 ports to control service access.
Port Management: Regulate application-specific traffic (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS).
- Layer 3/4 Switching:Implement switching based on IP (Layer 3) and TCP/UDP port numbers (Layer 4).
Inter-VLAN Routing: Use Layer 3 switches for communication between VLANs.
Quality of Service (QoS): Prioritize certain traffic types like VoIP or streaming services.
Security and Filtering: Utilize Layer 4 to block or allow specific traffic based on port numbers.
Transition to Advanced Switching: Move from Layer 2 switching to Layer 3/4 configurations, including traffic management and advanced routing strategies.
