Responsibilities
- To support the Biotechnology and Food Science would require knowledge in general Biotechnology such as microbiology, biochemistry, molecular cell biology, cell culture, biologics production, food formulation science, food technology applications and formulation methodologies as well as perform technical support and equipment troubleshooting during lab sessions.
- To support the Applied Chemistry and Environmental Science, require knowledge in environmental science and sustainability practices,environmental management, environmental data analysis, physical, inorganic and organic chemistry, analytical instrumentation applications or related topics to assist in chemistry practical sessions and analytical instrumentation set up, operational checks, maintenance and calibration
- To Support the Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Science require knowledge in general pharmaceutical and biomedical science such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Good Manufacturing Practice, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology, Clinical Skills in Pharmacy Practice and Dispensing, Diagnostic Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, and operation of specialised equipment, including equipment maintenance and preparation of materials for lab sessions.
- To support the Agriculture and Marine Science would require knowledge in plant science, plant tissue culture, agriculture technology, marine science and aquaculture.
- To assist to oversee the functionalities of the laboratory/ facilities for research and training purposes and maintain the storage of general chemicals and materials such as substrate, nutrient solutions, fertilizer, fish feed, etc., and maintain equipment and systems to ensure operational continuity.
Requirements
- BizSafe Level 2
- Occupational First Aid.
- Phlebotomy Practice.
- NEA R1 licence under the Radiation Protection Act ,exposed to ionizing irradiating apparatus.
- Basic Ionising Radiation Safety.
- Work at Height Supervisor and worker.
- Chemical and Biological Hazards and Risk Control Course.
- Manage Hazardous Substance Course.
