Job Description
· Using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software to determine material and service needs
· Create and maintain Purchase Orders
· Monitor existing open orders to ensure on -time deliveries
· Expedite supplier orders as required to support production
· Analyse costs and negotiate prices for goods and services
· Create and update Supplier Price Lists
· Maintain Supplier Contact information
· Manage In-Transit inventory levels and receipts, especially from intercompany sources.
· Work with Production Scheduler to share supply changes related to PO need dates and material availability.
· Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, quality issues, and cost concerns
· Communicate supply chain information to other departments and management
· Monitor Engineer Change (EC) closely and manage Excess and Obsolescence & slow -moving materials.
· Implement consignment agreements with suppliers, where necessary
· Build vendor base as required.
· Prepare cost analysis reports
· Undertake any other duties as assigned by the superior.

Experience Requirements
· 3-5 years working experience in a purchasing/supply chain role preferably in manufacturing environment
· MRP/ERP experience is preferred – experience with Epicor is a plus
Education/Certification Requirements
· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Supply Chain Management, Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent
· Proficient in MS Office is highly desirable
