Position Title: Senior Market Risk Analyst

Job Description:
China Aviation Oil is seeking a skilled and proactive Risk Analyst to join their dynamic team in the Risk Management department. This role involves the daily monitoring, reporting, and analysis of trading books, ensuring effective risk management and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with front and back office teams, perform detailed risk analyses, and ensure all systems and reports are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor trading books daily, ensuring exposures are within approved limits and reporting on potential risks.
- Communicate effectively with front and back office personnel, ensuring data accuracy in the CXL system.
- Perform monthly closing tasks, providing profit and loss analysis for assigned books.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for the Risk Management Committee.
- Conduct back testing, scenario testing, and stress testing regularly or as required.
- Gather and analyze daily market data, perform End-of-Day operations in CXL system, and compile weekly market reports.
- Manage the hedging business, including strategy reviews, effectiveness evaluations, and reporting on compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to mitigate risks and improve processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a relevant discipline (Post-graduate degree is preferred).
• Strong IT skills, particularly in quantifying and measuring trading risks and exposures.
• Familiarity with the energy commodities trading industry and market risk management.
• Proficient in regulatory compliance, quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong team player with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in both English and Chinese is required for frequent interaction with stakeholders and documentation.
