- Analyse and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and the associated costs, and prepare a detailed cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for MEP installations.
- Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and management of costs. Provide regular cost reports to keep stakeholders updated on the financial status of the project and promptly address any cost variations.
- Provide recommendations on cost-saving measures. Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and procurement through evaluation of subcontractor and supplier bids and ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards in MEP construction and keep abreast of industry trends, codes and best practices.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial, commercial or data-centre projects.
- Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
