Retail Store Manager

Position Summary: The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store(s) located at Takashimaya and (or) Isetan, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, staff performance, and sales growth. This individual will also play a critical role in supporting the company's domestic and international expansion initiatives by ensuring consistency in store operations and brand representation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Operations: Manage and oversee all aspects of store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and maintaining store standards.
  • Sales Targets: Develop strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, monitoring daily sales and adjusting plans to optimise performance.
  • Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of retail staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and productivity.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers experience top-quality service, handling any escalated customer complaints or issues efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels and coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as sales, foot traffic, and customer feedback to senior management.
  • Budgeting & Financials: Manage the store's budget, controlling costs to ensure profitability while maintaining store standards.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Work closely with the management team to execute in-store promotions and events to drive sales.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the store complies with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
  • Expansion Support: Collaborate with the management team to ensure smooth operations as the company expands into new locations domestically and internationally.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a retail store manager, preferably in the premium sports or fashion industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse sales figures and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and retail software.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a growing company.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
