Locofy.ai is a fully remote (Singapore HQ) startup, building a low code development devtool platform to help accelerate developers & designers to launch their core web/mobile products 5-10x faster. Having raised $7.5M in seed funding from the likes of Northstar Ventures, Accel, January Capital, Golden-Gate Ventures, BoldCap and backed by founders of Dropbox, Ola, Lottiefiles, Hasura, Holistics, Wego, Paysense, GajiGesa, Ohmyhome, 1bstories, Cyber-Sierra, it launched its beta platform in January 2022.
We're young, but we've made some serious progress - our Product Hunt launch in July 2022 was really encouraging and our community feedback has been strong! We got #1 Product of the Day, Week and Month subsequently along with #1 Developer Tool and #1 Design Tool of the Day, Week and Month, and it's been a crazy ride ever since!After running Locofy.ai in free public beta for 3.5 years, Locofy.ai recently came out of beta with paid plans in September 2024 and very rapidly sold 1000+ subscriptions with 20 Enterprises in 2 weeks.
The founders have held CxO roles in Product & Technology at some of Asia’s top startups covering Gaming, Travel, Fintech, Healthtech and SaaS, and won multiple awards for their products globally. Position Overview
Locofy.ai is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with over 5 years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions. In this leadership role, you will lead the development of AI models, focusing on the core features of Locofy's innovative Large Design Model (LDM) – a state-of-the-art model designed to convert designs into code seamlessly.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in AI and web development, demonstrated leadership skills, and a proven track record of scaling AI models. You should also be proficient in HTML/CSS/JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience in at least one front-end framework (React/Angular)
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Development of Scalable AI Solutions: Be the driving force behind the development of scalable AI solutions. Architect and construct foundational AI models
- Develop Advanced Algorithms for UI Pattern Detection: Work on cutting-edge models that detect UI patterns and understand their underlying semantic meaning. You'll develop algorithms that recognize and interpret design components, identifying their purpose and relationship within a user interface. This includes refining model training processes to ensure robust, scalable solutions, resulting in enhanced performance of Locofy’s Large Design Models.
- Establish and Oversee Data Quality and Annotation Frameworks: Define, implement, and oversee data annotation, cleaning, and validation pipelines to ensure high-quality and accurate datasets for training machine learning models, improving model performance and reliability across product features.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with foundational AI models
- Expertise in computer vision models and familiarity with prompt engineering and LLMs.
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS/JavaScript or TypeScript, with expertise in at least one front-end framework (React/Angular).
- Strong understanding of Web development first principles, familiarity with design tools like Figma and Penpot
- Experience in deploying scalable AI/ML models
