- Plan and purchase ingredients in the most cost effective manner.
- Ensure all food and ingredients are stored and handled according to hygiene standards and SOPs.
- Plan menus ahead of time with sufficient variety and according to guidelines from HPB / nutrition guidelines.
- Prepare food quantity that meets the needs of the residents and avoid food wastage.
- Plan and prepare food for ad-hoc special occasions.
Requirements:
- Minimum primary school education
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Flexible and open to feedback with regards to the food intake needs of the Home.
- Enjoys working in a setting with children and young persons.
- Able to work shift hours.
