Liberte HR is partnered with an international 5-star hotel located in the heart of Orchard Road. The hotel is hiring a Food & Beverage (F&B) Supervisor to support their dining venues (banquet, lobby lounge and/or buffet restaurant).
The F&B Supervisor is responsible for ensuring efficient and professional service in the restaurant, while maintaining strict cost and inventory control to achieve the restaurants financial targets. This role directly supervises team members, ensuring that all guests receive excellent service in line with established standards, policies, and procedures.
What will I be doing?
- Maintaining a strong focus on customer service, always prioritizing guest satisfaction.
- Taking initiative to address and resolve issues, ensuring clear communication with both guests and colleagues.
- Offering suggestions and ideas to improve operational and environmental procedures.
- Actively promoting the hotels services and facilities to guests and suppliers.
- Performing duties in a way that ensures safety for both yourself and others in the workplace.
- Having a thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menu and confidently explaining menu items to guests.
- Understanding dietary requirements and providing suitable recommendations.
- Suggesting menu options that may appeal to guests from different backgrounds.
- Familiarizing yourself with menu items from other outlets and confidently recommending them to guests.
- Knowing the opening hours of all restaurants and outlets and recommending dining and city attractions to guests.
- Ensuring the restaurant is prepared to meet the standards required for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, including reviewing reservations and coordinating with chefs.
- Confirming reservations and preparing tables for large bookings by contacting guests in advance.
- Ensuring all team members are briefed on the details of the shift and restaurant setup.
- Greeting guests with a smile, offering assistance, and introducing yourself.
- Addressing guest inquiries promptly and following up on any unresolved questions.
- Ensuring that all service procedures meet the required standards.
- Overseeing the daily staff roster, adjusting as necessary to meet business needs while maintaining service standards and budget goals.
- Controlling labor costs for each shift while ensuring guest expectations are met.
- Assisting with training team members during induction and on-the-job sessions.
- Conducting shift reviews, handovers, and briefings.
- Performing any other reasonable duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
- 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory role in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Strong verbal and written English skills to meet business needs.
- A motivated and committed attitude, with enthusiasm for learning new skills to improve personal performance.
- Flexibility and a positive response to changing requirements, including the ability to perform any tasks requested.
