Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholder, understanding their needs, and providing strategic guidance on the solutions.
Solution Design: Lead the design and development of virtual account, and liquidity management solutions tailored to meet stakeholder requirements, considering industry best practices and regulatory considerations.
Delivery Management: Manage end-to-end delivery area, including scoping, planning, execution, and stakeholder management, ensuring delivered on time and within budget.
Product Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the corporate transaction banking space, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with transaction banking initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to SMBC’s internal policies and procedures.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development and enhance overall team performance.
Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, including white papers, articles, and presentations.
Primary Skill Sets:
Good Knowledge and understanding of Payments, Virtual Account management and Liquidity management. Experience in working with such systems across geographies, particularly APAC.
Knowledge of Virtual Account Management (VAM):
• Understanding of virtual account structures and their applications in banking.
• Ability to design and configure virtual account solutions to meet business requirements.
• Experience in setting up and managing virtual accounts to optimize cash flows and streamline reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with the technology platforms and software used for virtual account management.
• Knowledge of virtual account reconciliation processes and tools.
Knowledge of Liquidity Management (LM):
• Proficiency in liquidity forecasting techniques and cash flow analysis.
• Understanding of liquidity management principles and techniques.
• Ability to develop and implement liquidity management strategies to ensure sufficient cash availability for operational needs while maximizing
returns on excess cash.
