JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sales Manager or BDM is responsible for Sales & Marketing activities and assist operations if required, your responsibility will include:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy.
- Conduct day-to-day sales activities include telemarketing and sales calls.
- Building relationships with key clients and partners, identifying new business opportunities, creating, and implementing sales plans.
- Monitors and analyzes market trends to identify potential new venue streams.
- Collaborating with other departments and senior management to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Review account portfolio regularly and present to management sales report on a regular basis, to provide analysis on performance of each account i.e. Rooms and events, forward and follow up action plans.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with clients and partners to maximize revenue and occupancy.
- Understands the overall market, competitors’ strengths and weakness, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to win against them.
- Conduct room inspection before a guest checks-in, to ensure set-up and cleanliness are in order.
- Cross sell other property and event space.
- Follow up with clients whose payment is outstanding and long overdue.
- Assist with annual budget planning, and sales forecasts.
- Assist in administrative tasks, in the absence of the sales administrator.
- Support operations in organizing corporate / resident’s events.
- Handling of any other tasks as assigned by the management.
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will be someone with strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to details, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ideal candidates with a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in hospitality management
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar positions or Sales Executive from a reputable hotel / serviced residence.
- Excellent communications and written skills, with ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Positive, proactive attitude, resourceful and able to work independently.
