Atomionics Pte. Ltd.

Atomionics Pte. Ltd. company logo

Physicists have been at the forefront of some of the most important inventions of all time. These inventions have formed the basis of transition toward an improvement in quality of life. Atomionics is at that juncture and ready to revolutionize the domains of resource exploration and navigation. Our quantum sensors are based on cold atom interferometry and can measure gravity, acceleration, and rotation with high accuracy, precision, and sensitivity. The challenge? Making it work in a dynamic environment to enable real world applications that would extend the benefits of the energy industry to the next billion people.

We are looking for a cold atom physicist who:

  1. Wants to be involved in research while gracefully maneuvering through the technical constraints of field deployment
  2. Is excited by the prospect of working within an interdisciplinary team comprised of electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, and software engineers
  3. Would like to own their work via compelling equity offerings

We are a focused group in a high-energy environment. Our team consists of people at the top of their domains with a diverse set of experience, such as in advanced rocket engines, the first digital cameras, and high resolution microscopes, apart from cold atom physics. In addition, we are backed by some fantastic investors from the private and public sectors, such as Wavemaker, SGInnovate, Cap Vista, 500 Startups, and other prominent angels.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of atom interferometry based sensors
  • Work in collaboration with electronics engineers and mechanical engineers to develop the system
  • Research on the improvement and miniaturization of atom interferometry based sensors
  • Write patents

Must have skills

  • PhD in Physics, with research experience in cold atom physics
  • Proficient in experimental work
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Nice to have skills

  • Prior experience in atom interferometry
  • Built atom interferometry based gravimeter, accelerometer, or gyroscope
  • Built near-IR lasers, laser locking system, and RF electronics
  • Experience in theoretical simulation of atomic systems
  • Developed control systems using FPGA
