Job Overview:
- We are looking for a dedicated and motivated IT Operations Specialist to join our team. This role involves working on a 24x7 shift rotation to ensure the continuous monitoring, support, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving abilities, and be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities (SDC Associate Engineer):
- Consistently monitor the performance and availability of IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications. Provide first-level troubleshooting and support for any issues that arise.
- Respond promptly to IT incidents, following established procedures and escalation protocols. Document incidents and resolutions in the incident management system.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch management, and system backups to ensure the integrity and security of IT systems.
- Execute daily operational tasks, including system health checks, log reviews, and performance monitoring, ensuring all tasks are completed within the defined SLAs.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users, providing timely updates on incidents and operational activities.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, conducting IT operations securely and in compliance with industry standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations or Support (LAN/WAN/Systems/Cloud).
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows and Linux, network protocols, VMware, and IT infrastructure. Experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems is advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for information security.
