Bukit Panjang Methodist Church is looking for a Lay Ministry Staff
(LMS) to support the Pastoral Team in various operations such as
weekly worship services, ministries (mainly the Youth Ministry & Lishi
Worship Service Ministry) and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• supports the Pastoral Team in various operations such as weekly
services, ministries and events.
• helps define/refine the Youth Ministry’s mission and goals,
incorporating the disciple-making mindset/pathway.
• strengthens the Youth Ministry by building strong relationships
with young people and bring them together as a people group.
• invites youths into the life of the church and collaborates with them
to identify specific initiatives for the Youth community.
• walks alongside youths with the aim of helping them grow
spiritually and developing a disciple-making mindset.
• teaches and equips worshippers to serve in church and in the
marketplace.
• supports the cell groups that are run by Lishi Ministry and spins off
new groups where necessary.
• engages and does follow-up with newcomers, creates a mentor-
mentee system for key leaders.
• helps the church in fulfilling the vision and mission of disciple-
making.
• be prepared to be redeployed, when necessary, based on
organisational needs.
The person will need to work closely with:
• Pastors & Lay Ministry Staff
• Key leaders in Lishi Works Committee
• Youth Ministry’s Core Team
• Lishi Worship Service Committee Chairperson
We are looking for someone who:
• loves young people.
• has proven track record of serving alongside youths.
• has proven track record in developing ministry and training
leaders.
• has initiative and is able to work independently.
Qualifications:
• A theological degree is preferred but not a must for applicants
• Minimum: Tertiary level education
