Job Description
The Mechanobiology Institute (MBI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is a leading multidisciplinary institute devoted to developing new paradigms for understanding biological functions in health and diseases from the perspective of cell, tissue and organ mechanics/dynamics and mechano-signal transduction. The institute operates on a fully integrated open-lab philosophy, with an extensive infrastructure supported by core facilities dedicated to technology such as state-of-the-art light microscopy, nano- and micro- fabrication, and computing.
We seek to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the research group of Prof. Rong Li as a postdoctoral fellow at the Mechanobiology Institute, National University of Singapore. Candidates should possess an MD and PhD, as well as a strong publication record in the field of human reproductive biology and in-vitro fertilization. They should also have a strong background in cell and molecular biology, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to engage in collaborative research in a highly interdisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work closely with talented, motivated senior research fellows and interdisciplinary PIs, as well as with cutting-edge methodologies and instrumentation.
Qualifications
- MD and PhD in molecular cell biology or relevant biomedical disciplines
- Competence in cell and molecular biology
- Experience in image analysis, photomanipulation and bioinformatics are highly desired.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated to work both independently and as a team member
