Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you are responsible to meet the Patient Financial Services Department’s Key Performance Indicators. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the financial operations related to patient billing, collections, and financial assistance at SGH. This role involves strategic leadership in managing the patient revenue cycle, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the overall patient experience in financial/billing matters. The ideal candidate will process a strong background in healthcare finance, exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to improving financial processes and patient satisfaction. You will provide stewardship to the Department’s operations including ensuring compliance with national regulations related to patient billing and to develop and maintain policies and procedures to support efficient operations and compliance. You will provide effective support to various internal and external stakeholders to achieve the Hospital’s vision and mission and ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and support the implementation of national public healthcare business systems.
Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Business or related discipline
- At least 15 years of work experience in healthcare financing and of which 8 years are in a managerial capacity
- Demonstrated leadership with ability to work in a dynamic, complex and fast-faced environment and manage changing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong judgement
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collectively across departments, patients and executive leadership
