Job Description
The Department of Psychology, National University of Singapore (NUS), invites applications for the position of full-time research assistant to serve as study coordinator for a new project funded by the National Medical Research Council. The successful applicant is expected to commence duties at NUS from November 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.
This position is connected specifically to a research project titled, "Predicting anhedonia using naturalistic and lab-based measures of reward." The projects are under the direction of Principal Investigator Assistant Professor Kean J. HSU (Department of Psychology).
Scope and responsibilities
The research assistant will provide support to the PI (Asst. Prof. Kean J. HSU) and other project team members on overall research administration for the project, including coordination of research staff and trainees based on a lab schedule, training and supervising new volunteer research assistants, screening, recruitment, scheduling, and retention of research participants, following up with participants regarding their online follow-up assessments up to six months post-baseline, tracking of overall research project progress, as well as running participants through in-lab study protocols. They will also be responsible for supporting IRB protocol modifications and compliance, managing data (including basic data analysis), and managing telegram project channel and project website. Based on their performance and skills demonstrated in this role, study coordinators may be invited to assist with manuscripts and earn co-authorship credit for their work. This position is ideal for individuals interested in graduate school for clinical psychology (whether local MA or international PhD).
