The company is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant (Group) to join our finance team. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic startup at an exciting phase of growth.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in 1) participate and contribute in a high-performing and agile finance function, 2) delivering on core financial responsibilities such as accurate accounting, reporting, audit and tax compliance, 3) optimising accounting processes across group entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing essential support in all aspects of finance, such as financial reporting (especially consolidation and reporting ), management reporting, audit, tax and regulatory compliance.
- Taking charge of the full spectrum of financial accounting across the group entities. Experience with intercompany transactions and group consolidation with foreign subsidiaries is crucial.
- Work closely with the reporting manager to review, implement and improve finance policies and internal controls, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards.
- Support and work closely with overseas counterparts in providing guidance on accounting and group policy requirements where necessary.
- Participate and personally drive a high-performance culture and champion cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective communication, alignment of goals, and timely achievement of targets.
- Support in the liaison with internal and external stakeholders including in financial institutions, clients, partners, auditors, and tax consultants.
- Support projects such as the implementation of system and digital tools.
- Support any ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
You should possess the following skills and proficiencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
- Professional certification (CPA / CA) and prior audit experience is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in a start-up or healthcare is an added advantage.
- A self-motivated and independent problem solver who is proactive with a strong sense of ownership
- Accustomed to multitasking, prioritising and meeting deadlines
- Meticulous with keen attention to detail
- A good team player
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Good at stakeholder management and people management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert level of competency in Microsoft Office is a must.
- At least 3-4 years of accounting experience
