Strategic Procurement Executive

We are seeking a Strategic Procurement Executive for our client in the oil & gas industry. He/she will be responsible for developing contracting strategies, managing tender processes, and negotiating million dollars EPC & CAPEX contracts.

  • Develop and execute contracting strategies that align with project scope, budget, and company objectives.
  • Plan, organize, and manage the tendering process, ensuring full compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Conduct supplier pre-qualification, maintain an updated list of approved vendors, and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service.
  • Oversee contract implementation, monitor compliance, facilitate visibility, and manage amendments or terminations in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Execute the annual procurement plan, including spend analysis and process improvements, ensuring alignment with budget and planning requirements.
  • Lead contract negotiations for growth projects and operational expense (OPEX) renewals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Oversee and manage the procurement steps in the P2P process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in ordering, receiving, and payment.
  • Develop strategies for key procurement categories and specific projects to optimize cost, efficiency, and risk management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in procurement policies and procedures, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Regularly measure and analyze procurement processes, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve performance and achieve departmental goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • At least 3-7 years of experience in project procurement
  • EPC background is strongly preferred
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office applications; knowledge of contract law and vendor management.
  • Business acumen, problem-solving capabilities, customer-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
