Job Title: Receptionist
Location: Valour Primary School, 49 Punggol Central
Contract Period: 1 January 2025 – 31 December 2025
Receptionist 1 - Working Hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00 AM to 4:15 PM (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break)
- Fridays: 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break)
- Note: Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Receptionist 2 - Working Hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break)
- Fridays: 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM (inclusive of a 45-minute lunch break)
- Note: Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Scope of Services:
The Receptionists will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Attending to all incoming phone calls, enquiries, and deliveries promptly.
- Welcoming and attending to walk-in students, teachers, parents, visitors, and school stakeholders with care and empathy.
- Contacting parents of unwell students to be taken home or for students who have been absent.
- Providing basic first aid to injured/unwell students and maintaining the sick bay, including first aid supplies.
- Managing the General Office reception counter, ensuring it is clean and tidy.
- Handling simple office administrative tasks, such as receiving and directing incoming mails/packages, making trips to the Post Office, managing and distributing notifications, filing, collating, and printing documents.
- Calling and engaging with parents on administrative matters (e.g., GIRO forms, financial aid supporting documents).
- Performing administrative tasks using basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), including data entry and document preparation.
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks, such as P1 registration exercises, emergency drills, etc.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
For Both Roles:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in front desk reception duties.
- GCE “O” level certificate with at least 2 “O” level passes.
- Proficiency in basic MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to read, write, and converse in English.
- Warm personality with good customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
- Able to work independently and as a good team player with initiative.
Additional Advantage for Receptionist 1:
- Relevant reception experience in a school setting would be highly advantageous.
