Senior Manager, Retail Allocation & Replenishment (APAC)

Join our global RPMI (Retail Planning Merchandising & InStocks) team to be part of key decision makers in LEGO Retail. Shaping the inventory strategy for our LEGO Retail business in APAC, and to ensure a magical experience for our shoppers online!

Core Responsibilities

  • Set the inventory strategy for LEGO.COM in APAC to deliver against key in-stock & stock turn metrics.
  • Lead and develop the APAC Allocation & Replenishment (A&R) team towards excellence.
  • Partner with APAC Supply & Inventory Planning team and pro-actively seek opportunities to drive Consumer Sales for LEGO Retail (e.g. novelty launches) & reduce excess risks.
  • Embrace role of senior leader within the wider LEGO Retail team joining various forums to drive actions to support plans e.g. senior CPH, contingency meetings, ad-hoc projects.
  • Ensure a high level of responsiveness to unexpected SKU performance during key commercial events (novelty launch, promotions) and enable the team to make fast decisions to improve commercial opportunities.
  • Represent LEGO Retail in various APAC forums and share the latest view of inventory health metrics articulating any opportunities/risks with wider business.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to ensure inventory outlook is articulated & business priorities are aligned.
  • Partner with LEGO distribution team to drive efficiencies across our LEGO.com warehouses in APAC (e.g. collaborate cross functionally with Demand Planning, Trading/Sales team to simulate forecast of outbound volume and to align of output capacity requirements).
  • Drive continuous improvement in A&R by seeking out opportunities to refine processes and align with regional teams maximising technology.
  • Lead the change to our new retail planning system with a particular focus on roll out of A&R functionality and ensure E2E vision is delivered through close collaboration with global Planning & Merchandising teams.

The APAC Allocation & Replenishment team (within the Global RPMI team) is responsible for ensuring our LEGO.com have outstanding availability and stock turns. It is a fast-paced area which rewards planning, a collaborative approach and a focused team mentality.

Do you have what it takes

  • Minimum 8 years retail experience in areas such as inventory management, forecasting, analysis, merchandising or similar.
  • Previous experience managing high performing teams.
  • Excellent partner management with experience working with both internal and external collaborators across functions, including experience of driving complex/challenging projects.
  • Strong commercial competence and the ability to deliver a clear storyline to collaborators across different teams/levels.
  • Detailed and ability to see opportunities /risks quickly and course correct where necessary.
  • Strong E2E understanding of how a retailer operates from a logistics, distribution & delivery proposition standpoint but also considering the shopper journey and how they are intertwined.
  • Problem solver/solution oriented with ability to influence upwards and provide input in various contexts.
  • Resilient & someone who adopts collaborative approach, bringing energy & passion to the role.
