Job Summary
The IT and Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology and systems infrastructure. This individual contributor role involves providing 1st level technical support to users and working with our vendors for 2nd level / 3rd level support, managing the day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensuring network security, implementing IT policies, and managing system upgrades. The individual collaborates with other departments and ensures the organization's technology supports its business objectives effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support and User Training:
· Oversee the provision of level 1 technical support to employees and departments.
· Work with and manage our vendors for level 2 and level 3 support/issues resolution.
· Develop and implement user training programs for IT systems and tools.
· Establish an IT helpdesk service to address technical issues efficiently.
· Establish clear documentation of system related processes for training and compliance.
2. IT Infrastructure Management:
· Oversee the management, maintenance, and improvement of all IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
· Ensure high availability of IT services, managing backups, disaster recovery, and contingency plans.
· Implement and maintain server architecture, cloud services, and data centers.
3. System Administration:
· Administer servers, databases, and networking equipment.
· Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to resolve issues quickly.
· Manage the integration of different software platforms and ensure seamless functionality.
4. Network and Security Management:
· Design and maintain secure and reliable networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and VPN connections.
· Implement and monitor cybersecurity strategies, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
· Regularly update security policies and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
· Project Management:
· Lead and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
5. Vendor and Asset Management:
· Manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements (SLAs)
· Procure and manage IT hardware and software assets, ensuring efficient usage and cost-effectiveness.
· Track and manage IT inventory, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements.
6. Strategic IT Planning:
· Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with business goals.
· Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve business operations and efficiencies.
· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending solutions that drive competitive advantage.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
· Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
· Strong knowledge of system administration, network security, cloud services, and data management.
· Excellent project management and user management skills.
· Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work under pressure.
Skills and Competencies:
· Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Navision, Microsoft Excel, Jet Report.
· Strong technical expertise in systems administration and network infrastructure.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Excellent communication skills for collaboration across departments.
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Familiarity with industry best practices in IT governance and security.
· Exposure and familiarity in F&B industry is a bonus – sales, procurement, inventory management processes.
· Strong ability to converse in Mandarin and in written Chinese is a requirement.
