The Job:
Provide psychological services to residents of CSLMCH.
- Administer and score a range of psychological assessments.
- Develop and implement interventions to support individualised care plans (ICP).
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the wellbeing and development of residents.
- Plan and run group work sessions for residents and their families.
- Provide coaching support in various settings to generalise behaviours and strategies from individual sessions.
- Participate in data collection and research as part of programme planning, evaluation and development projects.
Candidate Requirements:
Technical Competencies:
- Psychologist who is registered is preferred
- Master in Psychology
- At least 4 years related work experience in the social service sector, preferably with children and youth.
- Full membership with Singapore Psychological Society would be advantageous.
Core Competency:
- Demonstrates understanding of established theories and current research on children and youth mental health and development.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills — able to work individually and within a team, relate easily to other people, particularly children, and form positive working relationships.
- Working knowledge of psychotherapy or counselling modalities would be a plus.
Preferred achievements / characteristics:
- A positive attitude with the ability to think out of the box.
- Ability to adapt and come up with creative solutions to unexpected situations
- Ability to manage stress and crisis effectively while making calm and informed decisions.
