Job Title: Mechanical Product Designer (ID5072)
Location: Woodlands
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8am - 5.30pm
Salary: $4500 - $6700
Job Description:
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversee 3D Product Design and Fulfill Requirements:
Take charge of the end-to-end process of designing products in a 3D environment, ensuring compliance with specified requirements.
• Lead Mechanical and Engineering Design:
Assume a leadership role in both mechanical and engineering design, making key decisions and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Develop Proof of Concepts:
Create prototypes or proof of concepts to validate and test design concepts before proceeding with full-scale production, enabling early issue identification.
• Generate Engineering Drawings with GD&T and Tolerance Stack Up:
Produce detailed engineering drawings with a focus on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure design precision.
• Define Test Requirements for Products:
Establish comprehensive testing criteria for designed products, guaranteeing alignment with quality standards and functional specifications.
• Manage Projects with Stringent Timelines:
Take a leadership role in project management, ensuring projects are completed within specified timelines by effectively prioritizing tasks.
• Adapt to Additional Duties as Assigned:
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to undertake additional responsibilities or tasks as delegated by the organization.
• Proficiency in UG/NX CAD Software:
Demonstrate expertise in utilizing Unigraphics (UG) or Siemens NX computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Preferred Experience in Injection Mould Design:
Possess experience in designing injection molds, a critical element in the mass production of plastic components.
• Familiarity with Flexible PCB and Sheet Metal Design:
Exhibit knowledge in designing flexible printed circuit boards (PCBs) and sheet metal components, expanding the scope of design capabilities.
• Prioritize Workplace Health and Safety:
Exercise due diligence in maintaining workplace health and safety standards for personal well-being and that of colleagues.
Requirement:
• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline
• At least 5 years of related working experience in plastic injection moulding & tooling with supplier managing experience
• Good interpersonal skills
• Travel to European and other site location may be required
