The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on mechanics of pollen-based materials, plant morphogenesis, and morphing structures
- Collaborate with team members (Research Associates, Project Officers, PhD students), and mentor undergraduate students, visiting scholars and researchers
- Conduct modelling, simulation and experimental research on mechanics of pollen-based materials
- Explore applications in fields of shape morphing structures and devices
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science or relevant field
- Research experiences in mechanics of materials and plant morphogenesis
- Good publication record
- Proficiency in research design and research collaboration
- Good communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English as required for research work.
