Established educational centre operating for more than 30 years is looking to recruit part-time English Teacher to support Japanese students in learning the English language.
This position requires you to deliver lessons catered to Intermediate to Advance learners who are taking TOEFL, IELTS or Eiken. You should be able to explain grammatical rules clearly with adequate examples.
If you have prior experience in teaching the English Language to International students, we would like to hear from you.
Plan, Teach, Evaluate and Manage Class
Preparation for lessons:
- establish clear objectives for all lessons and units, deliver lessons according to objectives
- lesson planning according to teaching curriculum
- develop and create interactive course materials to address Read, Listen, Write, Speak
Conduct lessons & manage class:
- delivery of lessons according to curriculum
- explain, communicate basic principles of grammar
- through creative and engaging activities, create opportunities to practise the language in Read, Listen, Speak and Write
- establish routines and enforce age-appropriate class management procedures
- grade and provide feedback to students on their work
Evaluate:
- provide timely review of students’ performance
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Minimum Diploma and above with good credit in English Language
2. At least 3 years in teaching Academic English as a second language to international students (ESL).
3. Good in written and spoken English
4. Experience in TOEFL or IELTS examinations is advantageous
5. Patience and dedication to work with international students
6. Good sense of initiative, responsibility and punctuality.
Work hours available:
Thursday: 1900hr-2100hr
Saturday: 1500hr-1910hr
Remuneration: $50-$60/hr (depending on qualification & experience) ($1250-$2000)
Location, 5-8 minutes walk from Somerset MRT.
