Senior/ Executive, Event Management & Planning

THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.

You will be part of the Events Management & Planning teams to manage daily centre group visits and events operations, resource allocation, coordinating and achieving performance objectives for SDC.

Responsibilities:

  • Itinerary planning for organised school/corporate visits and coordination of all resources, reservation and booking of tickets and setup required.
  • Ensuring day-to-day operational requirements are executed in accordance with safety regulations and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with other business units and external clients on event operations and resource management for events such as family days, workshops, product launches and SDC’s Signature events.
  • Procurement through Tenderboard for necessary logistics and services to support centre and event operations.
  • Overall in-charge (on-site) of the operations for events, school & group visits.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Manager/GM, SDC.

Critical Accountabilities:

  • Planning and liaison between stakeholder and vendors in the conduct of Visitor Experience Survey.
  • Plan and execute pre-event and post-event operations meetings.
  • Itinerary planning for events, school/group visits coordinating related reservations, bookings and resources.
  • Manage (and execute) all event related administrative duties and documentation including procurement of logistics and services.
  • Planning for the conduct of Visitor Experience Survey.
  • Sourcing, liaison and negotiation sponsors, partners and event suppliers for events and organised school/group visits.
  • Develop and manage crowd control and evacuation plans with various stakeholders.
  • Manage escalated on-site issues.
  • Provision of reports, feedback and reviews after events.

Requirements:

  • Min. Diploma in Business, Tourism Management, Hospitality or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong desire to be successful.
  • Able to think creatively and problem-solve in high-pressure situations.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic as well as a dedicated and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; and good workflow planning and organization skill is preferable.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior executives, top management personnel from the industry.
  • Professional demeanour and appearance.
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills; pleasant and professional always, with co-workers and vendors.
  • Ability to work on weekends and holidays.
