About the role –
Let’s face it, traditional Singaporean firms are terrible at marketing. Beyond the old Hokkien ways of flyer distribution and price wars, MSMEs that only serve themselves have never appreciated “marketing people” – but the fact remains that they’re greater than just a “business expense”.
If you like the tone and style of the previous writ, then we’d like to invite you to be a pioneer member in a new role that this not-so-traditional-anymore firm has now begun to embrace: You’ll be our “marketing person” in an office where everyone takes ownership beyond their respective scopes.
We’ll hold your hands while you familiarise yourself, and we’ll let it go for full autonomy once you’re ready to take ownership. Oh - and we can decide on your official title, together.
The Marketing “person” shall:
· Be the “client-side” liaison with all vendors and partners for all marketing efforts;
· Strategise, launch, manage and track marketing campaigns in line with objectives;
· Consult with the internal teams to understand product specifications and nuances;
· Manage media output from the design team and distribute it to where it’s needed;
· Keep up marketing efforts with a variety of peak seasons from the various diaspora;
· Upkeep their knowledge in the various product specifications and maintain diligence with compliance requirements;
· Maintain and upkeep a good image of the firm’s “façade” in social media; and
· Output useful reports of Marketing efforts on a periodic basis.
