Reporting to the Ops Lead, responsible for the architecture, optimization, and security of the organization's entire network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity across MCC.
Job Scope:
Network Architecture and Design:
Proficiency with AWS networking services such as VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53 (DNS), and AWS PrivateLink.
Firewalls and Security Appliances:
Hands-on experience with cloud-native firewalls like AWS WAF. Expertise in network segmentation, traffic filtering, and firewall policy management to enforce security.
Load Balancing and Traffic Management:
Proficiency in configuring and managing load balancers (e.g., AWS ELB, NLB, ALB). Understanding of traffic optimization, latency reduction, and ensuring high availability for distributed applications.
DNS and DHCP Management:
Experience with DNS management (e.g., Route 53) and DHCP configurations for network services.
Network Security:
Expertise in securing network infrastructure using VPNs, encryption, firewalls, and network ACLs. Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and network security best practices.
Skillset Requirements:
- AWS administration proficiency (ALB,ELB,Route53,Transit Gateway, VPCs, Direct Connect, AWS WAF)
- Networking protocols knowledge (e.g. Https, Http)
- Network Optimisation and Troubleshooting proficiency
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
