Introduction to GoNetZero™
GoNetZero™ empowers clients worldwide to achieve their net-zero goals. As a global decarbonisation solution provider, it offers comprehensive end-to-end solutions through its digital platform and verified environmental attributes (EAs), including Renewable Energy Certificates and carbon credits. It is the carbon management business of Sembcorp Industries, a Singapore Stock Exchange-listed company.
GoNetZero™’s suite of digital solutions includes Measure – which enables clients to begin their net-zero journey by assessing their organisations’ emissions; Manage – which allows clients to view, manage, and retire their EAs portfolio seamlessly on a single platform; and Perform – which helps clients maximise the output and lifespan of their renewable energy assets across multiple sites on a single dashboard. Additionally, GoNetZero™ provides custom solutions tailored to clients’ decarbonisation needs.
Since its launch in 2022, GoNetZero™ has supported over 80 clients globally through its established offices in Singapore, the UK, and Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel extensively across Malaysia and occasionally to regional sites for installations, maintenance, and support sales.
- Conduct technical site qualifications to assess system requirements, project scope and site conditions.
- Setup, configure, and commission solar monitoring hardware on-site.
- Perform network setup and troubleshooting to ensure reliable communication between solar monitoring systems and communications equipment.
- Interact with customers professionally as part of a multi-tasking team.
- Perform onsite installations, repairs, and troubleshooting of solar PV monitoring system.
- Check and provide complete documentation, including installation reports, to clients.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to system performance.
- Investigate technical failures and prepare formal technical reports with recommendations.
- Record keeping and management of spare part movements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of technical experience in the solar industry.
- Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in setting up and configuring solar monitoring hardware and associated systems.
- Experience with network setup and troubleshooting, particularly for remote monitoring of solar assets.
- Ability to work on rooftops and at heights
- Willing to travel regularly within the region, most commonly within Malaysia
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and other electrical drawings.
- Cable jointing qualifications and experience are also an advantage.
