What you will do:
The Senior Application Engineer is lead the team of application for technical support – primarily customer quotations and business development case studies for various composite applications. Key emphasis will be on the ability to understand customer requirements and rapidly demonstrate how composite based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in the proposals. This position will require travel with the business development team to customer facilities during visits to discuss these future opportunities in depth.
How you will do it:
- Lead the team of application Engineer with configuration, enhancement and support on technical write up and technical presentation to client
- Leads in the customization an additional of new features to Metasys software and internally developed applications according to end user requests
- Leads in designing and building new applications base on customer's requirements and specifications
- Leads and guide application engineers to write and perform tests on complicated programming, fixes problems as they arise and assists product launches
- Provide technical support and troubleshoots issue related to applications perform tests on complicated programming, fixes problems as they arise and assists product launches
- Provide assistance application Manager on process improvement on application to improve productivity and efficiency
- Work with SI and monitor their performance with QA/QC checks and completion sign off
- Leads and guide application engineers to perform software upgrades and keeps track of software licensing
- Assists with managing vendor relationships including scoping of application services and review of deliverables
- Work as part of a team of design and engineering and ops staff
- Knowledge of ACMV and controls associate with Johnson Control Metasys will be an advantage
To supervise Application Engineer on the their following Tasks
- Provides customer support by responding to requests for technical queries with detailed analysis of building management system, schedule of creation, tooling costing, and submittal of design and process improvements, when applicable, to meet all customer product needs.
- Works with engineering, sales, and ops staff to understand standard component fabrication techniques, standard composite materials to use, and current demands of our customers to formulate design details for the sales staff and our customers.
- Provides product technical engineering information by creating and giving presentations on customer proposals. This contains, but is not limited to, 3D representations of finished goods, 3D representations of tooling, etc.
- Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel.
- Conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals
- Generate proven and surface component and assembly CAD models
- Ability to compose detailed bill of materials for proposals
What we look for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and with minimum 5 years relevant working experience
- Transportation composite or other composite experience preferred
- Possess knowledge in PLC / BMS programming
