Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester with expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and executing automated test scripts for web applications, working in Agile environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
- Create BDD test scenarios using Cucumber and integrate them with the automation framework.
- Write, review, and execute test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand application functionality and define testing requirements.
- Perform regression testing, identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or equivalent.
- Review and refactor automation scripts to improve stability, reusability, and performance.
- Implement object-oriented design (OOD) principles in automation scripts for better maintainability.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on the overall quality of the product.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with automation testing using Selenium WebDriver.
- Proficiency in Java for developing automation frameworks and scripts.
- Strong understanding of Cucumber and behavior-driven development (BDD) practices.
- Solid knowledge of OOP principles and their implementation in automation scripts.
- Experience with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit for managing and executing test cases.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Maven, or similar.
