The Department of Medicine, University Medicine Cluster is seeking candidates who are highly motivated and willing to join us for a challenging and fulfilling appointment as Resident Physician.
The Resident Physician will work within the Division of Advanced Internal Medicine as part of the Department of Medicine. The Division of Advanced Internal Medicine is comprised of 12 faculty trained in both General Internal Medicine and Medicine Sub-Specialties who deliver care to inpatients and outpatients. The division excels healthcare delivery innovation, teaching, and research. The culture is collaborative and warm.
You will be responsible for the overall supervision and day-to-day running of the Alexandra Campus in-patient clinical service. This is a new campus for the NUHS cluster comprised currently of 3 groups of patients, acute medical patients, acute/sub-acute care wards, with a focus in multi-disciplinary team approach to chronically ill patients who have complex social needs, and those with cancer and palliative care needs.You may also be responsible for the supervision and teaching of House Officers, Medical officers and other Trainees.You will have significant autonomy in your role while also working closely with supportive supervising consultants. You will report to the AIM Head of Department.
• Possess a basic medical degree and a postgraduate (MRCP) registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
• Possess a 3 year post housemanship clinical experience
• Be in active clinical practice • Must be registered with the Singapore Medical Council
• Able to demonstrate good diagnostic and clinical management acumen
• Able to demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, compassion and excellence in his/ her work
