Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Project Engineer with an engineering background to support to the construction and implementation of a new build incinerator Rotary Kiln. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical proficiency, and project management skills to ensure successful project delivery within set timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
· Support to all project phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
· Ensure adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
· Oversee procurement, resource allocation, and subcontractor management.
Understand Regulatory Requirements:
· Conduct thorough research to understand the regulatory framework and requirements set by government agencies related to environmental permits, zoning laws, construction codes, and safety standards.
· Stay updated on any changes or updates to regulations that may impact the project.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
· Review regular progress reports, presentations, and updates for project stakeholders and management.
Procurement and Resource Management:
· Identify and procure necessary materials, equipment, and services in coordination with procurement teams and vendors.
· Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and subcontractors, to optimize project performance and efficiency.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
· Review and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
· Monitor project financials, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management and Compliance:
· Identify potential risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement measures to minimize project disruptions.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and health and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Oversight:
· Provide technical guidance and expertise on Rotary Kiln systems and incineration technologies.
· Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
· Participate in quality control inspections and audits to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
· Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and health and safety protocols.
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:
· Implement robust monitoring systems to track and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permit conditions.
· Prepare and submit regular compliance reports, monitoring data, and documentation as required by government agencies.
Build Positive Relationships:
· Foster positive relationships with government officials, regulators, and agency representatives through professionalism, transparency, and proactive engagement.
· Seek feedback and guidance on best practices for environmental stewardship, sustainable development, and community engagement.
Japanese Reporting to Headquarters:
· Ensure accurate and timely reporting to headquarters in Japan, including financial reports, operational updates, and strategic initiatives.
· Coordinate with relevant departments to gather data and information for reporting purposes.
· Facilitate communication and collaboration between the headquarters and local teams to support business objectives and alignment with global strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related field). Advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in project coordination, construction management, or related roles in the industrial sector.
- Knowledge of Rotary Kiln, incineration technologies, and engineering principles.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing project requirements.
