KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate entries and prepare journal postings, including accruals and adjustments.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and reconciling vendor statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Update the fixed asset register, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support tax return preparation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide documentation for audits and implement internal controls.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts.
- Identify and implement efficiency enhancements while troubleshooting accounting issues.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and outstanding items while maintaining clear and professional communication with vendors, customers, and team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification; ACCA or similar credentials are a plus.
- Relevant work experience is an advantage.
