Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate corporate tax (including personal tax, partnership tax, and withholding tax) compliance engagements.
- Develop budgets, determine resource requirements, and direct/monitor engagements.
- Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations, and ensure exceptional client service.
- Oversee the tax compliance process and adapt to challenges in the process.
- Leading the tax compliance function, delegating work effectively, coaching, training, and resolving staffing issues.
- Attend to tax queries and dispute resolution with the tax authorities.
- Share knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery. Facilitate open communication and supervise staff.
- Participate in recruiting efforts when necessary.
- Contribute to a stable and team-oriented working culture.
- Assess and identify business development opportunities.
- Build strong internal cross-functional relationships within the company.
- Involve in any other ad-hoc projects and related tasks as and when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with recognized Professional Qualification.
- Demonstrated client management aptitude and leadership potential.
- Extensive experience in Tax compliance, with proven track record in quality management and team leadership.
- Good understanding of business and tax technical issues and the ability to transform these into value-added solutions for clients.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to deliver effective client service.
- A team player with the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge in the software Singtax (Corporate & Personal) preferred
