Regional Technical Service Manager

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and enhance the efficiency and quality of Technical Service functions within the region.


Essential Functions

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Technical Services departments within the region.
  • Effectively manage a diverse team of Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure high levels of efficiency, competency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct strategic planning to identify key departmental objectives.
  • Establish and enforce team policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Identify and implement processes to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Create and identify business growth opportunities to increase service department revenue and meet financial targets.
  • Develop and manage the annual service operating budget, ensuring accountability to meet or exceed growth and profit objectives.
  • Coordinate with Sales Operations and the Sales team to identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships for potential growth.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments on strategic planning to increase the ExpertCare adoption rate in the region.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of Service Reports and Checklists in compliance with local GDPMDS requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory and technical experience in the Medical Device or Biomedical Engineering industry.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization, including management.
  • Proven experience in on-site support, troubleshooting, and fault investigation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently on-site as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to going the extra mile to ensure both employee and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other engineering software.
