Your responsibilities
- Analyze customer inputs and understand requirements such as Design Specifications, P&IDs, Control Narratives, IO lists, Instrument Index, Operating Philosophies, etc.
- Raise Technical Queries and clarification to customer.
- Perform I/O to Controller Assignment.
- Creates work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility.
- Define Software Concepts and make write-up for Functional Design Specification and third-party interfaces (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.)
- Develop configuration and test guidelines, application library (Logic as well as graphics) and project-specific application typical and application Typical Test
- Design & Develop I/O & base control modules
- Develop customized logic, complex logic, and graphics, third party interface database/modules
- Develop an Internal test plan and Perform Internal testing
- Interacts with customers, officials, contractors and others; Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.
- Developing, selecting and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools, reporting inefficiencies and identifying improvement opportunities.
Your background
- A Bachelor degree in Control Systems Engineering or similar field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a control systems project engineering role, preferably including about 2 years’ experience in water, or used water treatment systems
- Ability to recognize and respond to dynamic demands and to relate with different groups of people at various levels of the organization
- Pragmatic approach to scope of work and work environment
- Experience in ABB 800xA AC800M programming preferred and knowledge of DCS logic/graphic development & testing
- Familiar with IEC61131-3 languages, such as: Function Block Diagram, Sequential Flow chart, Structured Text, etc.
- Knowledge of various third-party interfaces and integration methods and FieldBus such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, etc.
- Basic knowledge on Virtualization & Cyber security preferred
- Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including PLC application programming experiences (Function blocks, logic diagram, etc.)
