Global Purchasing team is seeking for a Buyer on a 12 month contract. The role will include responsbilities such as managing purchase orders while pro-actively handling supplier devliery plands and managing customers demand. There will be opportunities to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support a high-demand department.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for direct purchasing
- Responsible for materials on time delivery per production needs
- Responsible for PO creation, issuance, confirmation, re-scheduling and cancellations
- Manage supplies to meet production plans and customer demands
- Proactively manage supplier delivery plans and customer demands
- Ensure continuity of supplies in product transfers, as needed
- Resolve issues on Vendor Invoice, Problematic GR , RTVs
- Review work methods for continuous improvement
- Manage supplier relationships
- PO administration
- Expediting suppliers and resolving supply issues with suppliers
- Creatively manage supplest through forecast, safety stocks
- Ensure supplier OTD performance
- Working with cross-functional teams to close supply gaps
- Work closely with the planning team and project manager addressing day-day critical shortages and ensure that the information is cascaded down to the team
Requirements:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing or supply chain management experience
- Experience in SAP system and proficient in MS Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Good Communication skills, verbal and written to participate in business discussions and communicate insights and influence stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking, and strategic thinking abilities
- Team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
- Able to work independently towards achieving company/group objectives
