Job Descriptions:
- Develop and implement the business strategy for the Energy Transformation Unit, in line with the company's objectives and market trends.
- Lead the development of new energy businesses, including Green Corporate PPA, Carbon Credit, Hydrogen/Ammonia production and utilization, and Green Power Generation in the region.
- Oversees new energy business initiatives across APAC countries (excluding Indonesia), gathering and sharing new business opportunities, market insights, and information to guide company direction.
- Responsible for bridging the Tokyo head office and regional organizations to ensure that operation of engaged organization are aligned with company strategies.
- Prepare presentation materials in Japanese for potential business opportunities for the headquarter.
- Report to the General Manager in the Energy Transformation Unit
Job Requirements:
- At least 15 years of managerial experience in the power infrastructure and new energy sectors within Southeast Asia.
- At least 2 years of managerial experience in the carbon credit industry in both Japan and Southeast Asia.
- Extensive knowledge, expertise, and a strong network in the power infrastructure, new energy, carbon credit, and finance lease industries across Japan and Southeast Asia.
- In-depth understanding of financing, taxation, and contract management, particularly in the power and next-generation energy sectors.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the business development and investment practices of Japanese Trading Houses.
- Willingness to undertake frequent business trips (potentially more than once a month, including weekends within the APAC region to develop new business and meet directly with management teams of invested companies.
- High proficiency in Japanese (written and spoken) for effective communication with headquarter and regional group/investee companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, power and energy, or a related field. Equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
