Internship Opportunity: Human Resources Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and organized Human Resources Intern to support our recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Manage job portal activities, including shortlisting and reviewing candidates.
- Arrange interviews between candidates and interviewers.
- Assist in verifying and collecting candidate documents.
- Help address pre-onboarding tasks such as key employment letter signing.
- Participate in monthly training and training of underperforming employees
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Prepare starter kits for new hires.
- Register new hire profiles in the system.
- Facilitate tours of the spa for new employees.
- Assist with new hire orientation sessions.
- Coordinate clearance processes for departing employees.
Administrative Skills:
- Maintain and organize HR filing and documentation, including staff P-Files.
- Develop a systematic approach to record-keeping of employee data.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data.
Payroll Process:
- Support the payroll procedure by monitoring rostering, overtime reporting, and allowances.
- Track new hire and leaver data, time and attendance, and invoicing.
- Calculate leave entitlements, unpaid leaves, and medical benefits.
- Prepare salary and process salary payout.
Employee Engagement:
- Assist in organizing events such as Monthly meetings, trainee meetings, and virtual talks focused on welfare and mental wellness.
- Help coordinate creative events, including get-togethers
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Understand processes related to medical claims, allowances, reimbursements, and transportation.
- Assist with initiatives like Spa Promotions, Loyalty rewards, Giveaways
Employee Relations:
- Support events like the Annual Dinner and Dance, Long Service Awards, and corporate social responsibility activities (e.g., beach clean-ups).
- Maintain the heart of the house by updating notices and enhancing staff lounges.
Learning and Development:
- Collaborate with external training providers to source training programs and manage registrations.
- Track training activities and coordinate intern recruitment efforts with department heads.
